New life for vacant restaurants on 27th Street
This week has been full of positive news for the College-Rawson retail section of 27th Street. Two vacant restaurant sites along the corridor are slated to house new dining choices for residents in the coming months, which will have Summertime along the retail corridor filled with people looking for their burger and custard fix.
Milwaukee Burger Co, which has locations in Appleton, Eau Claire and Wausau, will finally have a location in its namesake's metropolitan area by taking over the former Tumbleweed in front of Home Depot. They plan on opening mid-April.
Down the road from Milwaukee Burger, Oscar's Frozen Custard took over the former Omega Frozen Custard location in front of Lowe's. This will be Oscar's 3rd location, which will likely be a hit with many who enjoy their frozen custard. Oscar's is also looking at a Spring opening.
